Ge Washer Tub Nut Frozen
Lbs if the hub nut wrench pn wx5x1325 is used to tighten the hub nut the wrench must be struck.
Ge washer tub nut frozen. I just replaced the tub barring seal flat washier split ring and a new tub nut. Part two is here. The hard part is getting the tub up and out. Hub nut securing the tub is made of stainless steel and must be torqued to 150 ft.
For easy removal use tub nut wrench ap2614008 wh2x1193 ap2045284 made by ge. Due to the higher rpm of this model the 1 11 16 in. I also have a wrench that would fit but the wrench is too long to fit. I am having difficulties getting the 1 11 16 aluminum hub nut off to remove the spin basket.
What i have used so far are channel lock pliers and a hammer to hit the pliers with but the nut will not budge. I had lots of fun getting the tub nut off and now well i just can t seem to make the dang tub budge. I knew the machine had some serious rust damage the lip of the inner tub is shot and i had to burn the flipping agitator off the drive post. Lbs if the hub nut is removed it must be tightened to 150 ft.
I found that by. Washer tub lock down nut. Off of the rusted corroded drive block and shaft. I am replacing the transmission in my ge washer.
