There are alternatives such as siberian larch and close board and strap depending on your own preference. Typically a garden room will weigh over 2 tonnes. This provides good protection during and after construction even if the boards become wet whilst also providing an excellent base for tiling carpet or laminate.

A garden room is the perfect blank canvas to use for any purpose you should need it for. Making a base larger than your building is not recommended this increases the risk of water ingress so be sure that you know the exact size you need and if you are unsure then just ask. It is the most durable and solid foundation but like with all the other good things in life a concrete foundation is one of the most expensive bases to build and involves more working. As standard we will always use 19mm thick tongue and groove redwood which has been tanalised to protect it against rot and fungi.
